In the end, as we say in the demonstrations, "it doesn’t lack money, but thieves abound."

The scandal is unprecedented. Luis Barcenas, the former accountant of the ruling Popular Party – PP - (and until yesterday with his own office in its headquarter), had 22 million Euros in Switzerland. His lawyer has reported that he laundered 10 million Euros in the recent government’s tax exemption Act and has paid monthly bonuses of between 3000 and 10,000 euros for the PP top leaders for years.

The demonstration called by the Alternative classist unionism and alternative social movements, was a huge success and a historic step in the reorganization process. By the evaluation of COBAS and Corriente Roja, the event brought more than 60,000 people (other unions organizers, uplifting presence to 100 thousand people).

For the first time in History, on November 14th, workers in Portugal, Greece, Italy and the State of Spain will stand together in a general strike engulfing several European countries. United struggle and joint demands of European workers have become a pressing need.

We are currently witnessing an accelerated deterioration of living and working conditions as well as an increasing loss of rights and liberties.  This is being achieved by using the instrument of public debt in order to deteriorate and privatize the entire public system.

The Spanish miners’ strike struck a powerful note within the British working class and there was widespread support. After 67 days the strike and mine occupations ended but without any concessions from the government. What happened?

The harshness of the new government's measures contrasts with the shameful response of the leaders of CCOO and UGT [Trade Union Confederation of Workers' Commissions and the General Labor Union, the two largest Spanish Unions Federations] that offer a "social dialogue" to Rajoy, showing once more its complicity in the removal of rights and social rights of the working class.
